The biggest date on the world’s furniture calendar always falls on a Tuesday in April, marking the start of the annual Salone Internazionale del Mobile, a week packed with events, exhibitions and presentations, where everyone who’s anyone on the international furniture design and manufacturing scene comes together to keep up with the latest developments in the field.

The Salone into its 55th year, championing innovation and internationality – in fact the number of foreign exhibitors have risen again, making up almost 30% of all the manufacturers at the fair. It has clearly been an interesting edition, both in terms of the wide-ranging commercial offering from a line-up of top specialist companies on the national and international market, and in terms of the search for a balance between tradition and innovation in the name of quality and culture.
